Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is 14 and has been unusually tired for the past few months. Within the past few weeks she has had a few blackout times where her vision goes dark (she said like she is squinting her eyes almost shut) and she feels dizzy and then super tired. Not always during exercise, but if she does exercise it is more frequent. She is a dancer, in marching band and typically active, but something isn t right.
I went through your details. I suggest you to consult a doctor as soon as possible to ascertain the possible causes of the symptoms your daughter. There could be many reasons for the symptoms. Tiredness could be due to anemia and wasting diseases or lack of nutrition. Dizziness could also be attributed to the same problems. The only positive aspect is, while doing exercise, she do not have these symptoms every time. In that case, anxiety and apprehension could also be suspected. Nevertheless, to be sure, please consult a physician ASAP.
