What Causes Dizziness, Dry Mouth And An Altered Sense Of Taste?

I have lost almost 30 pounds since February 24 following a heart attack. My intake is about 1300 cal per day. Recently i am experiencing some lightheadedness, dry mouth with a funny taste. I was boderline diabetic but my A1c was 6 and my last fasting glucose was 102. That was about 10 pounds ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

This is signs of reactive hypoglycaemia that happens if you are suffering from damaged glucose tolerance. Also, you are having diabetes signs.

You should meet a dietitian for a proper diet and then can start a treatment if blood sugar still remains in stabilised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
