What Causes Dizziness During Pregnancy After Injuring Sciatic Nerve?

I am 29 weeks pregnant and for about a week now, I have been getting dizzy spells while sitting. Not as much while standing though. I did have a fall a few weeks ago on a chair that broke and I injured/triggered my sciatic nerve which has been causing lower back and leg pain since. Not sure is this has any association with the dizziness.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Please get your Hb done, as anemia is the commonest cause for dizziness in pregnancy. Secondly get your BP checked and if it is high get a urine albumin and fundoscopy done.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jaydeep Nanda, General & Family Physician
