What Causes Dizziness, Fainting And Pressure Behind Forehead And Eyes?

I have been feeling dizzy these days. The other day I got worst to the point that I felt like fainting,which could also could have been because I was having an anxiety attack because the dizziness. I do not wake up with the dizziness. I have slight pressure behind my forehead, nose and eyes. I have taken blood test and everything was fine. My doctor told me it was allergies and gave me a nasal spray that does not really help. How ever I found that taking tylenol helps the dizziness go away slightly. I do suffer with my sinus at times and was wonder if this could be the cause. It really disrupts my daily life and would like to know how to treat this problem.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have dizziness, fainting and pressure behind forehead and eyes . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, inflammation within the inner ear sometimes due to infection, head injury , certain medications and due to cervical spondylosis, meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma , sinusitis and multiple sclerosis migraines . But in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are either due to sinus infection or allergy . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order . Doctor may order test like rotatory chair test , head movement test , posturography , blood test and CT scan . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) at least for a week along with antiemetic drug , decongestant and expectorant . For now take steam thrice a day and take anti histamine like benadryl . Avoid bending forward .
