What Causes Dizziness, Headache And Chest Pain On The Left Side?

My 18 year old grandson is experiencing light-headedness, headache, achy feeling in his upper left chest. He ha mono last year and has tested positive again. Doctor said to take ibuprofen (2 tablets) 3 times a day and also gave him meclizine. Symptoms for about a week. Ibuprofen seems to help some but has not eliminated the achy feeling. n Same with the light-headedness. Do we need to go back to the doctor?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

A headache, dizziness, chest pain suggest a possible side effect of Meclizine drug which he is consuming. I recommend discussing the same with your treating physician and get treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
