Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Dizziness, Headache, Heart Palpitations, Nausea And Diarrhea?
65 year old female -- dizziness, head pain, heart palpitations, nausea/ loose stool -- head pain and dizziness made worse by position changes, especially face down --sinuses and ears ruled out-- have bad calcium score and plague on heart valve plus high cholesterol. Carotids are good. Going into third week. No alcohol. Drink a lot of water/ decaf green tea. Continued sense of fight or flight . Unusually physically sensitive and Reactive to stress
Stress may affect the body and cause symptoms that might be similar to the ones you have. Loose stools, on the other hand, may also cause low blood pressure and dizziness when you stand up. It is good you are trying to keep yourself hydrated. Make sure you take oral rehydration solutions to substitute the electrolytes as well.
I would also advise you to have your thyroid checked, TSA and FT4 are the needed tests for this. Checking your heart function by having an ultrasound of the heart is advisable as well.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
