What Causes Dizziness, Heart Palpitation And Heartburn?

I m experiencing minor heartburn for the last hour and dizziness. I m 43 years old very active female. 5 4 tall and I weigh 130 pds. I have a very low resting heart rate sometimes less than 50 and run 20-25 miles/week. Should I be worried about the heartburn and dizziness or whe should I worry?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

The low resting heart rate will require attention from a cardiologist bu but the minor heartburn and dizziness may have to do with a gasteic disorder, vigorous exercise, high stress levels or diet related.

I would thus recommend the following: avoid smoking, avoid fatty food/fried food/oily food, avoid alcohol, avoid smoking, eat 5-6 smaller meals instead of 2-3 larger ones, avoid long gaps between meals, drink plenty of water, do not stay underweight or overweight, avoid carbonated drinks, avoid stress, and initiate 30 mg of lansoprazole one capsule once a day.

Best wishes.
