What Causes Dizziness, High BP, Nausea And Headache Post Intake Of Dextromethorphan?
I took Delsym dextromethorphan several nights to sleep and took it 10pm and then again 4am(ish). That day experienced dizziness and a drunkish feeling. When it didn t subside that day 7pm I went to urgent care and had a BP 190/100 and pulse 100+. Over the next 2 days BP had no change, when I went for a recheck. My normal BP never been high. Over that 2days I went thru nausea and now a severe headache. At my recheck the same Doctor put me on a low dose Med to lower the BP. Can all this occur from this overdose? I m 56, female, non smoker, basically healthy.

Suggestive of amphetamine overdose. Amphetamine is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant when taken in larger doses can cause dizziness, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, palpitations, convulsion, stroke, heart attack and death.
