Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, as of recently I have been undergoing dandruff spells on and off which I believe to be a secondary complication of an over active lymph node on the right side of my neck. Over the past month or so I have been experiencing dizzy spells, minor vertigo, nausea and tinnitus. Sometimes to the point of not being able to function properly in my day to day. My doctor has informed me that there is fluid in my inner ear but no sign of infection. What would be the most appropriate treatment for this?
As per your query you have problem of dizziness, mild vertigo and tinnitus . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, inflammation within the inner ear sometimes due to infection, head injury , certain medications and due to cervical spondylosis, meniere's disease , acoustic neuroma , sinusitis and multiple sclerosis migraines . Sometimes infection from upper respiratory track infection or from lymph nodes spread to ear through eustachian tube and cause such symptoms . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper evaluation of the condition . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , MRI , blood test , audiometery test, and examination with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drugs along with gentamicin at least for a week , doctor may also recommend vestibular therapy .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
