What Causes Dizziness, Nausea And Fatigue In An Elderly Person?
My dad is 83, he has a continent illiostomy. Over the past month he has been experiencing nausea, loss of appetite, lightheadedness, weakness. His BP is a bit low and he seems dehydrated even after consuming s fair amount of water. MRI is negative. He has lost 11 pounds over the last 2 weeks. He seems to be getting worse, Dr.s don t find anything unusual in blood work.
It could be due to low blood pressure. Check his sodium level as low sodium( hyponatremia) can cause these symptoms. As of now have salted feeds and drink plenty of water. You can also go for a complete blood count to rule out anemia as low hemoglobin can mimic this symptoms.Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
