What Causes Dizziness, Nausea And Fatigue?

My husband has been feeling dizzy and nauseous and fatigued for 5 days. At first we thought it was a bug/ virus, but he s not achey, feverish. Should we be concerned? He s been drinking a lot of extra water, and still has a little bit of an appetite...he just feels off .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there,

I understand your concern, and there is still a possibility of it being a virus even without a fever, especially if your husband is in the older age group. However, I would also like to make sure that his glucose levels are not high, because it can present the same way. Does he have diabetes, or is it in the family? Have you had a recent medical checkup?

You are doing the right thing by keeping his fluids up, but I would also recommend that you drop by your nearest clinic just for a quick finger prick test (make sure you fast for at least 6 hours, just plain water will do) to rule out glucose problems.

Hope this helps, and all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Teh
