What Causes Dizziness, Severe Weakness And Disorientation After Exposure To Heat?

My husband became very dizzy today after sitting in the sun at an auction at noon today. He became disoriented and very weak and has been throwing up. He is still dizzy and weak. I don t think he has a fever but is very pale. His pulse seems okay. He won t go to urgent care and doesn t want me to call an ambulance. He had 5 bypass open heart surgery in Feb, 2016, this year. What should he do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
He needs to go to urgent care or emergency. He could just be dehydrated but it could also be a problem with his heart. Please do everything you can to get him to go be seen by a doctor as soon as possible. If it is his heart, failure to get care could have very serious consequences.
Regards
