I m 68. My weight is 190 and I m 5 11 . I ve been feeling a bit light headed most of the day after sitting and then standing up. I do take blood pressure medication. I ve taken it several times and it s about 115 over 74 which is a bit lower than normal. I ve had several glasses of water since lunch. Otherwise I m feeling fine My wife has had a terrible cough for a week, but I have none of her symptoms
It is possible that your blood pressure is dropping on standing, this is called orthostatic hypotension.
The top value of a blood pressure reading is systolic and the bottom value is diastolic. Orthostatic hypotension is diagnosed if there is a drop of 20 with the systolic or 10 with the diastolic, within 3 mins of standing.
You can continue to use fluids once you are allowed to use excess fluids (no heart failure or kidney failure) but if it continues then you should see your doctor
I hope this helps
