What Causes Dizziness Upon Standing?
I have just started getting light headed and when I get up or stand up quickly, the room begins to spin. I have never had this before. The only change is I have recently started taking a diraretic and using a prescription cream for pain in my shoulder.

Spinning with change of posture is a symptom of vertigo./If you are taking diuratic... you are getting postural hypotension with the dosage.
Please check with your doctor for measuring blood pressure/ vertigo for specific medication or changing the dose of diuertic or blood pressure medicine.
