Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Dizziness When Diagnosed With Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo?
I have been diagnosed with BPPV and have gone thru treatment. But now I am having dizziness when I tilt my head back and even just moving my leg at the same time. This symptom has not been present before. I have had BPPV since 2009. I m 66 years old.
I see that you have an inner ear problem. Inner ear senses our position and balance sensation as well as vibration sensation. If your neurologist hasn't prescribed it, you will be helped by Tab Cinnarizine. But since it's a prescription drug you have to see an ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and its prescription. Avoid cleaning your ear any more with any wooden stick or something like that. Godspeed!
