What Causes Dizziness When Diagnosed With Low BP?

I am a 64 year old female and am having dizzy spells. I have very low blood pressure (always have) about 95/55. Last night I had a touch of vertigo. All day I have been feeling light headed. I am 5 4 and 125 lbs. I go to the gym. This has been going on for a few weeks. Any ideas other than inner ear problems? Thank you, Mary

Hello Mary

Welcome to Healthcaremagic!

My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you!
Your symptoms could be related to low blood pressure. An inner ear disorder can not be excluded either. Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with an ENT specialist to investigate for an inner ear disorder. It is also necessary performing a cervical spine X ray study for chronic degeneration of the cervical vertebral column and a Doppler ultrasound of the carotid and vertebral arteries for possible narrowing. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Best regards!
