General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. In this changing position of head can give vertigo (dizziness). Examination with an ENT specialist is well appreciated to rule out the condition. He will do some manoeuvres to rule out whether it is central or peripheral vertigo or caused by any ear pathology. Drugs like meclizine will be helpful for this. You can take dimenhydrinate which is available as over the counter for vertigo. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
