What Causes Dizziness While On Lisinopril?

I am taking lisinopril 40mg tablets once a day. The days are getting warmer and I get dizzy with little exertion. My dosage was increased 2 years ago and the dizziness is getting worse. When this happens, I check my BP. It is usually about 100/55. My doctor doesn t seem concerned. I m concerned. WhAt is happening?

Hi,

Optimum BP control with anti-BP medicine should be between 120 /80 and 140/90.

The BP records you have are a bit low than desired levels. Though Lisinopril has dizziness as a side effect, low blood pressure may enhance it.

I would advise discussing the thing with a cardiologist and get the dosage adjusted or medication changed as per need.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
