What Causes Dizziness While On Triamterene-Hydrochlorothiazide?
Hello, my name is Angela. My MD had started me on triamterene-hctz 37.5-25. I have been taking the med for 3 weeks now and feel much better. But today, I did not have pills with me and could not take it on time. I took it 5 hrs later. I was very dizzy, SOB and finally, I passed out. after taking the pill, in couple hours symptoms almost disappeared. Does this medication cause addiction? Thank you for your time. Triamterine is potassium sparing diuretic.
HCTZ is also a diuretic.
It is not having any side effect of dependence or habit formation.
So I don't think your symptoms are due to this drug.
