What Causes Dizziness While Suffering From An Ear Infection?
I was just diagnosed with an ear infection I think I have had for some time. Intermittently, only in the car- on longer drives and in traffic or up and down hills - I ve felt like dizzy then my shoulders would feel tight and it would feel like my heart was racing- I d feel some nausea- if I could get out of the car and walk around- sip water and calm down it would be better- but might come back during the drive. Once I felt like a giant muscle spams contracted my shoulders and upper back and I felt better immediately. I can t predict when it would happen. Yesterday I felt so dizzy just driving to the bank I felt like I was going to black out- as soon as I got out of the car I felt better. I went to the dr- Double ear and sinus infection- one ear very full. She said the rest sounds vertigo- ish- she also gave he Alavert. Any thoughts?
An ear infection is associated with dizziness, nausea and vertigo because surprisingly, our body's balancing system is located there. Be careful while driving. Continue antibiotics. It will subside as the infection subsides.
