My husband got very dizzy, room spinning around dizzy. He also had a cold clamminess. He has had a cold this past week and taking antihistamines, but not for a day now. He is lying down. His blood pressure is 100/58 and pulse of 63. I am wondering if he should go to hospital.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Maninder's Response
Hi,
Dizziness is the most common side effect of cold medications including antihistamines. But as per the blood pressure readings, it can be associated with that also.
The blood pressure is too low and you should go to the hospital for proper medications and overall physical examination and lab investigations. Meanwhile, you may give him a salty drink and coffee.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Maninder, General & Family Physician
