What Causes Dizziness While Suffering From Congestive Heart Failure?

Hi. My husband has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He had a cabbage August of 2015. Stents Feb of 2017. ICD June of 2017. Now he s been getting dizzy. We thought he might be dehydrated but we ve eliminated that. Even though he hadn t had a medication change since last October (upped the dosage of cozar), I was wondering if it could be the cumulative result of the increase dosage of cozar ? (He has been taking 25mg 2x per day. The last several days he s been taking 25mg once per day and still getting dizzy)

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There are various causes for dizziness as perfusion related issues for cerebral circulation, trace elements related or others.

I would recommend getting an MRI brain after consulting with Neuro physician for further guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
