What Causes Dizziness While Suffering From Diabetes?
I am 53 years old, female, and type 1 diabetic. I have been diabetic for 42 years. I woke up this morning dizzy and I don t believe it is related to blood sugars. My blood sugar was 98 before breakfast and 145 2 hours after. I live in Phoenix AZ. The dizziness at times is severe enough to cause nausea. I am not running a fever and I have no other symptoms. My daughter is currently taking antibiotics for strep throat, but I do not have any strep throat symptoms. Any ideas?
Are you currently on diabetic medications? Because it tends to happen with diabetic drugs, if it is happening consistently then you need to get your dose readjusted. For a one time thing please do not ignore it. Carry something sweet for such scenarios, any sudden fall in blood glucose can also be harmful. Hope this helps. And no you do not have symptoms of strep throat. Do not worry.
