What Causes Dizziness While Suffering From High Blood Sugar?

My husbands blood sugar was 211 and is dizzy, but blood pressure ok. How long before he checks it again without eating, he ate something an hour ago. I am having trouble with him understanding how important to see doctor but wont. Oh by the way he is not on any meds for it , doctor wants him to try to control it with diet and exercise which neither has happened. But he does have AF and takes meds for that. He says he feels out of it and dizzy.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Blood sugar level of 211 is very concerning. Fasting, postprandial (done an hour after eating) blood sugar levels, HbA1c level are to be tested at this point. It is important to start treatment and impose dietary, lifestyle modifications for adequate control of sugar levels. Please be advised to follow up with his primary provider for appropriate care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
