What Causes Dizzy Spells After A Fall?

HI! My dad fell off a 8-10ft ladder 2 weeks ago. He had cat scan day of injury at ER and they released him with all clear. Since then he has been having random dizzy spells, but nearly everyday. Especially in the morning when he first gets out of bed. Could this be an indication of something going on?

Hi
Thanks for writing to us!
After a fall the dizziness could be due to internal ear problems too(After a head injury, otoconia may be displaced from the utricle and migrate into other parts of the ear, causing dizziness). However since you had an episode of vomiting followed by dizziness, there should be a strong suspicion of chronic subdural hematoma. A CT scan is definitely required. Yes, it will be a good idea to go to the ER if that is the option available to you.
Hope this helps.
