What Causes Dizzy Spells Along With Sore Throat And Joint Pain?

I have a continuous discomfort at the base of my head. I have to be careful with the movement of my head. Like arthritis, if I get up too quickly in the morning without holding my head it will make me dizzy. Alongside my mouth is extra dry, sore throat and feel the glands in my neck inflamed. My joints ache and I feel a lot of fatigue.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dizzy spells along with sore throat and joint pain . Well the symptoms you mention in query probably occurring due to viral infection. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination as infection has already spread. Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test , complete blood profile and take history . Doctor may prescribe antiviral drugs ( acyclovir ) at least for a week along with decongestants and anti inflammatory . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic specialist for severe joint pain. For now do warm saline gargles , take steam , take proper rest , keep yourself hydrated and apply dry hot compresses to ear . Take spoon of honey twice a day .
