What Causes Dizzy Spells And Blood In Stool?
i have call into my doctor. just waiting. About a week ago I was having slight dizzy spells and just yesterday diarrhea, gas and bright red, blood in stools. I have noticed for a few months some slight red drops of blood when I wipe and considered it to me my hemorrhoids. No weight loss. My age is 68. I had an issue similar to this a couple of years ago and had partial colonoscopy with no findings.

Hi.
Diarrhea, gases and bright red blood in stool indicate colitis which would have caused dizzy spells. This can occur recurrently.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation and examination, per-rectal
examination and ano-proctoscopy to find out if there are hemorrhoids or proctitis.
Colonoscopy at an appropriate time is also indicated once the problem is bit solved for healing to occur to reduce the complications of colonoscopy tube.
Tests of stool and blood will help.
A course of an appropriate antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics would surely help.
IF hemorrhoid are present of grade 3 or 4 then you need a surgery too.
Take plenty of oral fluids and electrolyte solution to counter dehydration and electrolyte imbalance that might have caused dizziness.
Correction of any deviations in the blood tests would help further.
