Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 7 year old grandson was started on Trileptal yesterday and he has double vision now. I read where that is a less worrisome side effect of this medication. Should we contact the doctor about it or will it go away once he gets used to taking this med?
Your symptoms seem to be related to a side effect of Trileptal. Usually, this side effect go away on its own gradually. If the symptom continues, I suggest to consult your doctor for an alternative medication.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
