What Causes Droopy Face, Headache And Confusion When Diagnosed With Brain Lesion?

My father has a lesion on the brain, found by MRI. He has limited movement on his left arm and leg, can t smile and has a bit of droopy face when he talks on the left side, severe head ache, some confusion. We are waiting for some answers, but feel ignored. He is in a hospital. Maybe tomorrow we will get some answers, I m just impatient and scared. Thanks for any help, assuming this site is even real.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

He is having stroke, left-sided heme paresis( weakness of limbs) and facial palsy(7th cranial nerve affected).

7th cranial nerve which supplies the facial muscles is affected. One half of the face muscles paralysis. So his smile angle of the mouth is droopy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr C.ELANCHEZHIAN, General & Family Physician
