What Causes Drop In Blood Count Post Hysterectomy?

Just had a hysterectomy. Blood count was 9.0 before surgery dropped to 6.1 after surgery . Had2 units of blood came up to 7.0, then back to 6 when I was d/c. Feel heartbeat in my ears,short of breath, extreme fatigue. No pain. No bleeding. What should I do

Hello,
Welcome to hcm,
Decrease in hemoglobin level post surgery occurs due to blood loss during surgery. As you had two pints of blood tranfused, now continue with injections and oral supplements along with health diet consisting of green leafy vegetables.It will take atleast 3 months for your hemoglobin levels to increase.
