What Causes Drop In Heart Rate While Sleeping In A Hypertensive Person?
I have high blood pressure and take toprol, spironalactone, and amlodipine. I am 48 years old. I also had a loop recorder implanted last year. My loop report shows that sometimes my heart rate drops down to 22 while I m sleeping. My doctor said not to worry. This seems extremely low. What should i do?
Thanks for consulting. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
do not worry you are perfectly normal for your condition. for normal people this is a sever bradicardia.
if it went really to 22 you would not have been in a position to mail this question.
but the heart rate should be confirmed as some digital equipment has error why showing reading some times.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
