What Causes Drowsiness And Dizziness While On Gabapentin?

I am taking gabapentin. I have been on it for two weeks, on increasing dosage--now up to 6 pills daily. I feel quite drowsy and my balance is affected. I feel this is likely a side effect of the medication. Correct? YYYY@YYYY Thank you.

The side effects of Gabapentin does include dizziness and drowsiness. They are usually minor and harmless. But if it affects your daily activities, it is advised to consult your physician regarding changing the doses of the medication.
