Hello,
Cinnarizine, is an antihistamine and
calcium channel blocker of the Diphenylmethylpiperazine group. It is prescribed for nausea, vomiting, vertigo, or Ménière's disease. It has side effects like drowsiness, sweating, dry mouth, headache, skin problems, lethargy,
gastrointestinal irritation, etc. Some serious side effects may include
hypersensitivity reactions, movement problems/
muscle rigidity and tremor.
You are suggested not to take cinnarizine, as you are sensitive to it and get clinically examined by a GP to rule out anemia, vertigo or any other pathology. You will be treated accordingly. In the meantime, avoid stress and stay well hydrated.
Dehydration and sodium potassium depletion, low blood glucose may cause similar symptoms. Stay nourished, hydrated and tension free so that your vitals are normal.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
