Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi

Welcome to the HCM

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns but don't worry. The dry chapped lips, yellowish crust and painful gums in your child seems to be due to vitamin deficiency. Most likely it's due to riboflavin or vitamin C deficiency.

So, I would recommend you to start him on vitamin B complex and vitamin c supplements. Foods rich in vitamin B 2 or riboflavin are: Beef liver., Lamb , Milk ,Natural yogurt, Mushrooms, Spinach, Almonds, Sun-dried tomatoes, etc.

Vitamin c is present in citrus fruits.

Hopefully this will help.
Take care
