What Causes Dry Cough And Irritation In The Throat?

I have been on clarithromycin for a week now. Treating for a double ear infection and strep throat.. I now have a dry cough, and find my self continuously clearing my throat. Also, I can no longer hear out of my left ear, and my right is very limited. Would this be something caused from the medicine?

Hi,

It may be a simple sore throat. You can empirically start on a short course of antibiotics. Do warm saline gargles for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, you can consult a GP and get evaluated.
