Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was a smoker for 20 years and recently stopped 3 years ago, I have developed a dry cough that wakes me up at night and is quite bothersome during the day. My migraines have intensified and I can t seem to take a good deep breath without discomfort, any ideas?
Dry cough needs to be investigated since you have had history of smoking. I suggest you to consult your pulmonologist for clinical assessment and relevant investigations to check the status of lungs. Management of migraine involves long term medication. I suggest you to consult your physician for clinical assessment and thus management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
