General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
A dry cough can have many causes, including viral infections, allergies, acid reflux, and medication side effects. In your case, it may be related to your reflux or medication. Acid reflux can irritate the throat and cause a cough, and some medications can also cause a dry cough as a side effect.
It is important to discuss your symptoms with your healthcare provider, as they can help determine the underlying cause and recommend appropriate treatment options. They may also consider adjusting your medication regimen if necessary.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
