My fiancé has had a very bad dry cough --sore throat-- lost 8 lbs then gained back 4 list another 2 for about three weeks and went to the dr and he says it was upper respiratory -- I am very worried about him his primary gave hm 2 diff inhalers nothing has helped still had the awful dry cough coughing is terrible it has completely drained him he looks terrible very worried -- what do you think it ? Pls pls help I made him an app on Monday sept 12 for an ENT dr and Tuesday sept 13 th for the stomach dr maybe it has to do with his acid reflux pls help don t know what do to next no relief Debbie Debbie

(1)post nasal drip- this is the most common reason, some persons are not aware of the drip itself, he should consider adding a nasal spray to his other inhalers eg Nasonex, Nasocort, Flonase, etc
(2)GERD
(3)asthma- he may need lung function tests if there is a history of asthma to see if there is worsening lung function
(4)non-asthmatic eosinophilic bronchitis
