What Causes Dry Dark Spot On Neck And Chest?

Hello, A couple of weeks ago I noticed a dry spot on my neck. Over time it has gotten darker and spread to my chest. I went to a doctor and he suggested I change my soap, perfume, detergent etc. I ve done so and its still spreading. One on my breast and a couple on my stomach. Any other insight?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dry dark spot on neck and chest . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like aging , exposure to the sun , liver problems , vitamin B deficiency , allergic reactions to certain creams and medications , acne , skin cancer (rare) and diabetes brown spots on neck . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order skin tests , allergy test and blood test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( clindamycin ) , immunosuppressants , anti inflammatory . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist for liver problem or endocrinologist for diabetes . Doctor may also order liver function test . For now take anti histamine like benadryl and avoid any cosmetic product .
