What Causes Dry, Flaky Skin On The Fingers?

My daughter has dry, flaky, blister-like skin on her right middle finder in the crease of her highest digit. It is also bumpy. It has been there for a while but this morning she complained that it was burning, although that sensation has gone away. What do you think it is?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms see to be related to a fungal infection. I suggest using an antifungal cream such as Miconazole cream. I also recommend to maintain a good hygiene and keep the area dry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
