What Causes Dry Hair While Taking Levothyroxine?

My mom is 77 yo. White female. She has been on levothyroxine 0.1mg since she was 18. For the past 10 years her hair has been extremely dry frizzy and wirey only in the back. Her hair stylist says it is from her thyroid medication. What are your thoughts?

take recent thyroid hormone essay. give detailhistory and problem to endocrinologist and take his advise. dose can be adjusted. in my opinion it is not possible to get rid of thyroid medication. hair condition can be compromised for life.
