What Causes Dry Mouth While On Synthroid?

I take Synthroid every morning, and about 2 hours after taking it I get an extremely dry mouth and no amount of water will take away the dry mouth feeling. It s awful. Why does this happen? When I tried switching my synthroid to bedtime, i didn t get the dry mouth during the day, but I got very itchy skin all day instead. Please advise.
