Hello,

I can understand your concern. It seems that all these health issues with your husband are not related to each other and they all are different and should be differently treated.

If he is taking other medications, is under stress or actually drinking less water, he might feel dry mouth. For relief from this, he should suck on sugarfree gums or candies, drink small sips of water every few minutes or use medicine such as Pilocarpine that is salivary stimulant and available OTC. This medicine can be taken every 3-4 hours.

For the leg cramps, he can go for massaging of legs every few days or can take muscle relaxant such as Dan-MR (Paracetamol 500 mg + Diclofenac Sodium 50 mg + Chlorzoxazone 250 mg) twice a day for few days.

For cough, he can use decongestants that are available over the counter and can do warm salt water gargles. If it is severe, ENT specialist should be consulted.

Increased appetite can be due to stress or hormonal disturbance like thyroid disorder or diabetes. A physician should be consulted for physical examination and necessary investigations for this issue.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish your husband feels better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
