What Causes Dry Pimples On The Outside Of Penis Foreskin?

Hi, I need opinion of a doctor. I have something like pimples but only on the outside of foreskin (uncircumcised), they don t hurt or anything. I have noticed that after a two or three days of putting baby powder, they are dry and I can t tell if they are dissapearing. What do you think? Thank you!

Hi,

Applying talcum powder to your genital area is a fairly common practice amongst many people, since it absorbs moisture and helps protect the area from chaffing and abrasions. If you apply it when the area is wet, the powder tends to become damp and clog the pores in that region. Clogged pores could become infected and lead to boils in the area. I would suggest you to stop applying talcum powder. Antibiotic cream may be required to reduce infections.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
