What Causes Dry, Red And Itchy Skin Under The Armpit And Leg?
Hi ive just notivmced passed 2 days i have dry small red itchy skin on my body one near my armpit few on my legs and 3 red patches on my belly i exercise everyday and wash every day im just wondering this due to sweating and has it caused me dry skin.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dry, red and itchy skin under the armpit and leg which seems to be due to contact dermatitis, sweat accumulation, fungal infection and sometimes folliculitis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep you arms and legs clean and dry and apply over the counter anti fungal and anti inflammatory cream along with taking anti histamine like benadryl twice a day. Protect your skin from direct sunlight exposure. You should consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antifungal like fluconazole along with anti inflammatory medications.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
