What Causes Dry Skin With Painful Cracks And Splits?

I am having trouble with my feet and hands. extremely dry skin - eczema-like on my hand, and skin is cracking leaving deep knife-like splits in heels, ball of foot, and fingers. My entire right foot is swollen and it is extremely painful to put any weight on it at all. I am afraid the foot is infected. Should I go to emergency clinic? My efforts with Neosporin & wrapping are not working & this has been ongoing for about 2 weeks now.

As per your case history of Eczema, my treatment advice is:
1. Do not squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply an emollient cream like Enmoist cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days.
4. Another treatment option is oral steroid like Prednisone or Betamethasone is taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
