What Causes Dry, Spongy And Painful Sensation In The Throat?
So I was thinking that my throat has been really dry because I thought I was possibly dehydrated, so I ve been drinking water all day. The back part of my mouth where my throat starts feels kind of spongy and it won t go away. I could barely speak this morning because my throat hurt, and I had woke up because I could barely breathe. When I went to school, all of my teachers thought I was really sick. What s wrong with me?

Your symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection. I suggest you to use anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen three times a day, drink liquids and a lot of rest.
