Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that dryness in mouth and peeling of the mucosa inside the mouth after
Pneumonia..
Well, it seems to be due to
dehydration as well as lack of nutrition that occurs common after illness..
Due to dryness inside the mouth there s thinning of the mucosa and it leads to peeling..
It can also be due to side effects of medications that you must be taking..
I would suggest you to continue gargling with
biotene mouthwash that is specially formulated for
dry mouth patients..
You should drink atleast 3 to 4 litres of water a day..
Chew sugarfree chewing gums..
Avoid regular mouthwash as it has drying effect in mouth..
You can also instil artificial saliva drops containing Methylcellulose for lubrication..
Take Vitamin B complex supplements..
In case if still it does not resolve consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
