What Causes Dryness And Itching Sensation On Calf Muscles?

i have a sore that is dry and flaky on back of my calf about 1/4 across. Tried to keep band aid on it to keep pants from rubbing it but it does not seem to want to heal up. very itchy but not painful. ?seems like a bug bit? thought it was dry skin initially but a little vaseline did not help to heal. have picture if that would help.2 questions free? How to do that?

It is possible that it may be a fungal infection, this causes an itchy rash. Itching can also sometimes cause the introduction of bacteria into the skin so some persons may have a combined bacterial and fungal infection present.

You may want to obtain an anti fungal and anti bacterial cream from your local pharmacy.

It can sometimes take two to three weeks for fungal infections to respond to treatment in some cases.
