Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms dryness in mouth after tooth extraction seems to be due to lack of drinking water and as you are unable to swallow it seems to be due to the effect of local anaesthesia over the tongue that must be given to you prior to extraction leading to difficulty in tongue movement and swallowing difficulty..

Nothing to worry as the effect of anaesthesia will subside soon as it generally lasts from 45 minutes to about 2 to 3 hours..

As of now you can gargle gently with water and avoid being vigorous to avoid dislodging the blood clot..
Drink water directly from bottle by keeping it at a height from mouth so that it goes into throat and ease in swallowing..

In case if you are not able to swallow even after the effect of anaesthesia weans off, consult your physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
